The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) is a journey for everyone interested in understanding, living, and sharing the Catholic Faith. Together, we will discuss what Catholics believe about Jesus, explore teachings from the catechism, consider how to apply the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, and consider what it means to live an authentic Catholic life devoted to knowing, loving, and serving God.

Without obligation, you are welcome to join this year’s OCIA community and participate in the instructive sessions that enthusiastically study Catholicism.  OCIA sessions prepare non-Catholics to be received into the Catholic Church and prepare adult Catholics to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

There is one OCIA class at St. Francis University Parish this year.  Class will start on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Parish Fellowship Hall.  Asynchronous and individual OCIA journeys may also be possible.
